Harvest Notes – Week 12 (Bet) and Farmers’ Market!

The Harvest Notes are available, with links to recipes and a storage chart.  Also a picture of one of the summer Adamahniks with a giant watermelon, and info about the fall Adamahniks.  It’s going to be a hot holiday weekend, so a cool salsa or tabbouleh would be a great use of this week’s items.

Don’t forget that the Farmers’ Market is this Thursday! It is open to everybody so tell your friends to come also. The farmers plan to bring cheeses, yoghurt, jams, pickles, and other treats to serve for Rosh Hashonnah or give as gifts.

For those picking up a share this week, the farmers think that we may receive some combination of Tomatoes, Cherry Tomatoes, Peppers, Swiss Chard, Parsley, Beets, Garlic, Leeks, Cucumbers, and/or Melons. They may bring some extras to sell in the market too.
