Harvest Notes – Week 9 (Aleph) – and Specialty Shares

If you wonder how the weather is affecting our CSA shares this year, read the Field Update that open today’s Harvest Notes.  You will also see information about the MARKET that happens on August 29th, just in time for pre-holiday shopping.  Pick up some fresh, kosher pickles, jams, or dairy items to take as gifts to friends and family.

The farmers think that we are likely to get romaine lettuce (have you tried it grilled?), kale, beets, dill (great on the beets!), tomatoes, and garlic, with possibility of hot peppers, eggplant, leeks, and maybe melons.

Also remember that this is SPECIALTY SHARES week.  If you receive a dairy, salty/sweet, or just pickle share, be sure to pick it up this Thursday!
